Florida Southern College has been sued in federal court by a parent who alleges the college should have given partial tuition refunds after switching from in-person instruction to distance learning in March as a coronavirus precaution. A college spokesman told Tampa Bay Business Journal that FSC issued refunds for housing and meal plans and it shared CARES Act funds, but “will vigorously defend our response to this unprecedented pandemic and the outstanding education provided to students to complete their 2020 spring semester.”
