A building on South Florida Avenue that has housed several restaurants, including Jimmy Belle’s and Natalie’s, is coming back to life — this time as the new home for Albert Griffin Bridal Shop.
And that sounds like a great use for the spot at 3120 S. Florida Ave. because the retail shop won’t suffer the parking shortages that plagued the restaurants there, said Natalie Oldenkamp, who owned a sports bar there for several years.
The building is getting fresh paint inside and out and new flooring, said Leigh Barnes, who co-owns the bridal shop with her husband, Chris. And the owner removed the two bars and restaurant-specific furnishings, she said.

The 4,400-square-foot building gives them about the same amount of showroom space as their current store at 2302 E. Edgewood Drive, Barnes said, but the new location should afford much better visibility.
The last tenant, Jimmy Belle’s Seafood Market and Grill, closed suddenly last August.
