Mrs. Nancy Richardson Williams of Lakeland died after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s Disease on June 13, 2021, at her daughter’s home in Elkton, FL. She was 86.

Born in Bryant, AR on February 22, 1935, Nancy moved to Lakeland in 1971 with her family. After graduating from Florida Southern College with a degree in psychology, she was employed as a teacher by Polk County Public Schools for several years before embarking on her life’s work counseling troubled adolescents. She was a Baptist.

Mrs. Williams is survived by her sons, Willis Wilcox Williams III (Laurie) of Lakeland, Daniel C. Williams (Karol) of Bentonville, AR, her daughter Dr. Laura Williams of Elkton, FL, and six grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Willis W. “Bill” Williams and her son Robert R. Williams.

There will be a private graveside service at a future date. Condolences may be sent to the family at Heath Funeral Chapel.
