Nadine G. Voigt, 87, died May 22, 2021.

Mrs. Voigt was born in Calhoun County, North Florida on November 18, 1933 to the late CB and Bonnie Goodwin. She was raised in the small town of Day, FL, and was a graduate of Lafayette County School and a star basketball player for the LHS Hornets. She received her first store bought dress after turning 16.

She took only 15 piano lessons; however, she easily played hymns and her favorite country songs. She worked as a Bookkeeper in Pompano Beach, FL, Commercial Bank Teller with First Florida Bank, a Chiropractic Assistant and a live-in Care giver to a local family in Lakeland, FL. Mrs. Voigt loved volunteering in the Church working in Vacation Bible School and the Nursery.

She is survived by her son, James Clay Fielding; her Grandchildren Courtney Eryn Fielding whom she lovingly referred to as her “Sugar Plum Fairy” (Dustin Wayne Harrison) and Timothy Wesley Clark; great grandchildren, Makaylee, Alissa, Tyler and Kolton.

Visitation will be Friday, May 28, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Funeral Services will follow the visitation at Gentry Morrison Southside Chapel, 1727 Bartow Road, Lakeland, FL 33801. Interment at Day FL on Saturday, May 29, at 10:30 a.m. at Day Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Homes.
