Menolly Seraphin Quinn passed onto eternity early in the morning on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at her Lakeland, Florida home. She was too bright a star to shine among us for long and perfect at 14 years of age. Forever young now, her love of life and her family and friends endure.

Mena was an avid and talented clarinetist. She was a passionate musician that danced through life with grace, compassion, kindness, and a quick wit to keep those around her on their toes. Menolly loved the competition and cooperation of band and was already an All-State and All-county musician. Her second great passion was skeet, trap, and sporting clay competition. It was easy find her on a Friday night with her beloved team, or Sunday afternoon gleefully converting clays to dust and outperforming her father by increasing margins.

Mena was full of affection and encouragement. Mena’s days off were often punctuated by play and teaching to her brother and sister. Minecraft builds, Halo skirmishes and Nerf wars were frequent for her, as was her knack of finding teachable moments or just pure physical joy of play with her family. And you did NOT expect to beat her at UNO!

Menolly’s expansive personality and radiant, infectious verve were why she was so beloved of her peers and educators at her homes away from home, Mckeel Academy of Technology, Mckeel Academy Central, and Padgett Elementary. Mena’s academic prowess was striking, but matched only by her care of others which earned her many dear friends and treasured relationships.

Menolly is survived by her mother; Leya her father; Patrick brother; Declan and sister; Sadie along with numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents.

Menolly’s celebration of life will be held Thursday, April 7, 2022, at 6:30 p.m. at the Heath Funeral Chapel and Crematory in Lakeland. Condolences may be sent to the family at Heath Funeral Chapel.
