Marion J. Fleming passed away on December 18, 2020. He was born in Lakeland, FL on April 1, 1949 to the late Nathan and Dorothy Fleming.

Reared in the Lakeland community, Marion later attended and graduated from Rochelle High School. After high school, he joined and served in the US Navy. As a child he was a member of Foster Memorial Methodist Church in the community of Morehead. He retired from Tampa Electric Company after more than 40 years.

Marion was a good listener and always there when you needed him. Marion loved to laugh with family and friends. He loved electronics and enjoyed sharing that love through gifts to those he knew and loved. He enjoyed good food and found a love for baking. Before he passed, Marion found a love for prayer and a love for Christ.

He is survived by his sister Phyllis Donaldson; His nephews; Ma’hya-Deen, Al-meen Mu’min, and Michael Turner; His nieces; Ebony Fleming-Ware, Dorothy Donaldson and Keila Fleming; Great niece and nephew, Sanbrille Parker and Kenneth Gamble; And many dear friends. Marion was proceeded in death by his parents, Nathan and Dorothy Fleming and his brother, Eddie Fleming.

Marion was one of the most respectful people God has ever created and was much loved by his friends and family. There will be a graveside service on Saturday, January 09, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at the Oak Hill Cemetery (4620 Hwy. 98 South, Lakeland, FL 33810)
