Mr. Lonnie Terrell Jameson, also known as “Johnnie” to his family, passed away on Wednesday, November 11th, 2020. He was born in Tampa, FL to Sheldon and Mary Jameson and moved to Lakeland in 1972. Lonnie formerly worked as a Millwright, a Walt Disney World maintenance mechanic, law enforcement for the Polk County Sheriff’s Office and in security for IMC New Wales. Lonnie also owned his own business, LJ’s Video and Photography. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

Lonnie loved life and had many interests that he enjoyed. Those interests included, hunting, fishing, camping, photography, videography, law enforcement, dancing, singing, playing guitar, mechanic work, cooking and baking.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Sharye Kay Jameson one month ago; grandson, Grady Kyle Sumner and sister, Elizabeth Deane Bross. Survivors include daughters, Beverly G. Sumner and her husband, Coury, Kimberly K. Morris and her husband, Rick; sister, Jeanette King and her husband, Bill; grandchildren, Kristen Crumpton and her husband, Brent, Ryan Morris, Sarah Shipanock and her husband, Adam; great grandson, Sebastian Shipanock.
