I’m a sucker for Brazilian sounds. I love the sultry singers whose sophisticated songs of longing carry a whiff of Amazonian exotica. I even listen to kitschy bossa nova from the 60s and tropicalista psychedelia from the 70s. So if I take in any live music this weekend, it will probably be a group called Jazza-nova at 801 E. Main Saturday night. I’m not finding much about them online other than they’re two local guys who play Brazilian music, presumably (based on the name) melding jazz and bossa nova. In case you’re wondering, they’re not the German chill-out collective whose name is nearly identical except without the hyphen and the capitalized N. Check more local listings after the jump.
