The Lakeland Center has stepped up its offerings for its, um, mature audience with several upcoming shows. Tonight’s Chubby Checker concert has been cancelled (Who knew he could milk The Twist for 57 years? Check this early video), but upcoming shows include tomorrow night’s Neil Diamond tribute (My favorite Neil wannabe is the lead vocalist of the Les Humphries Singers in this 1973 video) and next week’s performances by Johnny Mathis, two of the original singers in The Fifth Dimension and the Blues Brothers Review.
