Lisa Deanne Melton went home after serving her Jesus for 60 years on this earth. The family she influenced so profoundly, with her love, her spirit of good, her forgiveness of anyone unkind to her, and her genuine ability to evoke a smile or a hug from anyone who crossed her path, will forever miss their beautiful innocent girl.

Our Lisa is survived by her sisters, Beverly Melton Taylor (Richard), Kay Melton Losson (Richard), Nieces, Kimberly Melton Stacy (John), Wendy Melton Christensen (Jim), Shawn Melton Smith, Mandy Melton Kersey (Steve), Dana Taylor (Donna), Heather Losson Pollack (Craig), Nephews, Grady Eugene Melton Jr. (Lisa), Kevin Scott Taylor ( Sue), Hunter Collins Losson, Hubbell Clay Losson, and many great nieces, great nephews, cousins, friends and caretakers who Lisa always loved and enjoyed throughout her very full life.

She will be hosting a great reunion with her adored Mother and Father, Leroy, and Marie Melton, her “handsome” brothers and “sweet” sisters, Leroy Melton Jr. (Janice), Grady Eugene Melton Sr. (Phyllis), and her nieces, Michelle Melton Campbell,  Melanie Melton Rivera, Tracey Lynn Melton and nephew Leroy Melton III.

We know she’ll be dancing once more, singing to the top of her notes, all the gospel songs she spontaneously rewrote on the fly, and will fill the heavens with all the joy, laughter and love she shared with us.

Our family was blessed with Lisa in our lives.

No flowers or donations are requested, but for all who knew her, give kindness to someone hurting, compliment a stranger, hug that person who might be lonely, share a smile. That’s who Lisa was in life, so do this in her name.

We will celebrate our gift, Lisa Deanne Melton, at her Graveside in Oak Hill Burial Park, Lakeland, Florida, on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at 11 a.m.
