Lakeland Regional Health and Watson Clinic are joining 28 other institutions nationwide in clinical trials to determine methods to prevent blood clots in COVID-19 patients, News Channel 8 reports. The tests of blood-thinner combinations, which started this week, are coordinated by TIMI Study Group, a Boston collective of researchers from Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School.
