Four days after he turned 29, Wadsonley Lubin of Lakeland collected a $710,000 lump-sum payout after scoring a winning ticket in the Florida Lottery’s $20 Gold Rush Classic Scratch-Off game.

Lubin bought the ticket at Broadway Food Mart, 1000 N. Combee Road, which will  get a $2,000 bonus commission, the Florida Lottery’s Lizeth George said.

Launched last October, the game gives players the opportunity to win up to $5 million. The $1 million level Lubin won carries odds of 1-in-2,016,000, according to the Florida Lottery; a player has a one-in-2.99 chance of winning some prize.
