
Lakeland resident Marion Dwight, 28, was injured when his BMW SUV collided with a trailer on I-4 near County Line Road around 4 a.m., the Florida Highway Patrol reports.
Dwight’s BMW X6 SUV struck a trailer from behind, became wedged under it and was dragged about 1,635 feet, the Highway Patrol said. The trailer was being towed by a truck driven by Elmer Crosby, 52, of Orlando.
Eastbound traffic on I-4 was backed up until after 6 a.m.
