LaDona Lynn Brigman, age 50, of Lakeland, Florida passed away on February 24th, 2021. She was born in Ypsilanti, Michigan October 12, 1970. She graduated from J. P. Taravella High School, Coral Springs, Florida 1988. She received a Bachelor’s Degree from Eastern Michigan University in Language, Literature and Writing, and Secondary Education. She was working on her Master’s Degree from Southern New Hampshire University.

She worked for Polk County School District for 9 years and was teaching English at Ridge Community High School in Davenport, Florida for the last 4 years. She leaves to cherish her memories: her son Codey R. Harrison, her siblings Michael D. Brigman; Sheri L. (Brigman) Mehl; Shane D. Brigman; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Clifford L. Brigman and Lela J. Brigman.

LaDona accepted Christ at an early age. To know her was to love her. She never knew a stranger and people were drawn to her by her sincerity. She was easy to talk to on any subject and was fun to be with. She had a great sense of humor and laughter came easy. She put God, her family and her students as priorities in her life. She was always there for her family and friends.

She taught high school English and loved her job and her students. She knew she wanted to become a teacher from early childhood. She loved NASCAR, Detroit Red Wings and the Michigan Wolverines. She loved her cat Dusty. She enjoyed reading, watching Hallmark movies and writing books that she never had a chance to publish. She loved everything pink and pink hearts. She will be immensely missed by all that knew her. Our loss is heaven’s gain.

Her Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, March 6th at 1:00 P.M. at Fuel Church, 7355 US Hwy 98 N, Lakeland, FL 33809. We encourage the attendees to wear pink in her honor.

Condolences may be sent to the family at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Homes.
