Services for Joyce Ann Wade, age 79, will be held at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Lakeland, Florida, at 2:00 P.M., on Tuesday, June 9th, 2020. Pastor Rev. Luis Salazar will celebrate the Funeral Mass with Interment at Serenity Gardens in Lakeland.
Joyce Ann [Moinette] Wade was Born on July 6, 1940 in Springfield, MO. The third of three children to Henry Joseph and Lucy Lillian Moinette. She Died on May 29, 2020 at Home in Lakeland, FL.
Joyce was married to James Lee Wade at St. Mary of the Rosary Catholic Church in Ardmore, OK on January 23, 1960. Together they raised three children, James Henry, Jerry Allen and Carolyn Jeanette. James and Joyce were Grandparents to seven children and four Great-Grandchildren.
After graduating Ardmore High School, Joyce attended college at St Anthony’s School of Nursing in Oklahoma City, OK. In addition to being a loving homemaker, Joyce worked out of the home at several positions. During the earlier years of the marriage Joyce operated a Child Care business. Due to the frequent relocations required by James in his work, Joyce went back to school to learn Business Administration.
While living in the Washington DC area, and during the time she was living in Memphis, TN, Joyce was employed for various government agencies, including the Labor Department, the Internal Revenue Service, the Agricultural Department and the Department of Defense. After leaving the government, Joyce studied and received her Cosmetology License and purchased and managed a Beauty Salon in Memphis, TN. When her husband retired, they purchased and jointly operated the ranch raising registered Brangus Cattle in Southern Oklahoma.
She attended many classes with Deacon “Jim” and served at many ministries including, music, porter and Sacristan and was installed by the Archbishop as Reader, and Eucharistic Minister.
She was preceded in death by her Father in 1989, her Mother in 2007 and her older brother Donald Eugene Moinette in 2001. Survivors include her husband of 60 years Deacon “Jim” Wade of Lakeland, FL. Her three Children, James Henry Wade or Eugene, OR, Jerry Allen Wade of Salem, OR, and Carolyn Jeanette Holden of Lakeland, FL. Her seven Grandchildren, Brandon Thomas Wade, Amanda Joy Tillo, Courtney Renea Owen, Kristen Ashley Wade, and Nathan Allen Holden, Kelsey Anne Holden Austin Michael Holden. Her four Great Grandchildren, Aven Renea and Eleanore Joy Tillo, and Jackson Oliver and Juniper Joy Owen. And a brother Glenn Moinette, 93 of Ardmore, OK.
May she rest in peace, faithful wife and loving mother.
