
John Winston Gove, 64, born in Lakeland, at Morrell Memorial Hospital, to Gloria Davis and Phillip Gove of Plant City, FL, on January 9, 1958, returned to the Lord, Friday, April 8, 2022, at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale, Florida.
Mr. Gove was a lifelong resident of Polk County. He was a co-owner at Vanavac, Inc. of Plant City, FL for a combined 28 years of service and a maintenance supervisor for Carlton Arms of Lakeland and Brandon Oaks Apartments. He attended Saint Stephens Episcopal Church of Lakeland.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Lori (Gove) White, and survived by their daughter, Candy (Gove) Willets and grandchildren Braden, Courtney, Victoria, and Alexandria. He is survived by his second wife, Sherry Gove and their son, Sean (Hayley) Gove and grandchildren Tristan, Kailei, Keriann, Cameron, Tyler, Charleigh, and Brody. He was preceded in death by his third wife, Joanne Gove, and survived by their son, Joseph (Rebecca) Gove and grandchildren Oakley, Joseph Jr., and Ryliegh.
He is survived by his brother, Lane Gove and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his best friend, Jeff Doverspike, and survived by his best friends, Dale Bennett and Daniel Deblois.
Family will receive friends for visitation Friday, April 15, 2022, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Homes, Southside Chapel, Lakeland, FL, and a memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent to the family at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Homes.
