
Jerome (Jerry) Keith Walker, 66, of Lakeland, FL (formerly of Attleboro, MA) passed away peacefully surrounded by his wife Roxanne Tyner-Walker and family on August 31, 2021, at Lakeland Regional Hospital after a 21-day battle beating COVID-19 however finally succumbing to the trauma COVID left behind.
A student of Attleboro High School class of 73’ and longtime employee of Leach & Garner working his way up from a Tool Room Foreman, Manager and General Manager of Operations. His job took him all around the world training and designing with other Tool and Jewelry machinists. Jerry was a long-time resident of Attleboro and South Attleboro while raising his children and it was during his later years, he relocated to Florida to retire and meet his wife and best friend, Roxanne of 13 years.
The son of the late Robert Walker Jr. and Barbara Walker (Wellman) of Attleboro, brother of Linda Tessier, of Attleboro, Joanne Duffy and companion Don Houde of North Attleboro and the late Robert Walker III. The loving and proud father of 4, Eric Walker and his wife Amie of Middleburg, FL, Sean Tyner of Lakeland, Florida, Britney Walker of Gorham, ME and Jeremy Walker and his wife Stacey of Bowling Green, KY. He was the proud grandfather of 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
Jerry had a passion for life, he loved to try new things, travel and throughout his life he has accomplished numerous achievements. Jerry was an avid lover of MANY things; From flying RC planes, fishing, learning to play the guitar, boating, playing pool, volunteering, and spending time with friends and family. He was full of knowledge and was never one to shy away from an experience or a problem that needed solving- a fixer of all things. Jerry was always there when you needed him and happy to lend a hand or share his wisdom and advice. He had a magnetic personality with a goofy sense of humor touching many peoples lives wherever he went.
The family will be holding an outdoor celebration of life in memory of Jerry to be announced at a later date in both Lakeland and Attleboro per his wishes. The family kindly asks that attendees wear a mask. Condolences may be sent to the family at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Homes.
