James John Hall, 93, passed away on Tuesday July 21, 2021 in Lakeland Florida.

Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanne Marie (Hill) in 2015. He is survived by his son, James Randall (Randy) Hall, and daughter-in-law, Rebecca Hall; his daughter, Tracey Hall Sweeney; his grandchildren, Ryan, Lindsey, Sean and Kara; and his great grandson, Bryce.

Jim was born and raised in Brooklyn NY, where he graduated from Brooklyn Technical High School. He completed 3 years at The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art, in New York City. Jim was drafted into the US Army in October, 1950, and served one year in Korea in the Signal Corps (setting up telephone communications) , with an honorable discharge in 1952. Upon his return to Brooklyn, he began working for the New York Telephone Company as a repairman, with a promotion to Assistant Engineer/Supplies in Queens, NY.

Jim and Jeanne married in 1956 and soon after settled in Huntington, NY. Jim advanced in his career with AT&T in Queens, and later in New York City, serving in various positions until his retirement as District Manager in 1978.
Subsequently, Jeanne retired in 1990 and they moved to Auburndale FL, where Jim and Jeanne enjoyed golf, dancing and socializing. In his later years, he enjoyed watching classic movies and Rays baseball. Jim will be missed for his acerbic wit and Brooklyn accent.

There will be no public service or visitation. Condolences may be sent to the family at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Homes.
