J.C. Saffold, Jr. was born on October 27, 1948 to the late Rev. J.C. Saffold, Sr and Sallie B. Gordon-Saffold. He was born in Gordon, Alabama. During his youth, he was a member of Mt. Nebo Baptist Church in Gordon, AL where his parents served as faithful members until death.

J.C. moved from Gordon, AL to Tampa, Florida as a young man. He was known as “Body Man.” His nickname came from his love of cars and he was the best automobile painter on this side of heaven. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving life partner and wife, Sharon Foster. His children, Jason Saffold, Carlos Saffold and Deonte Foster(Bam).

Prior to his union with Sharon, he was married to Phebe Lois Saffold(deceased). During that union, three children were born. Jeffery Saffold, Sr(Spouse:Africa Laughlin-Saffold, Johnathan Saffold, Sr.(Spouse:Zola Delaney-Saffold), Evelyn Michelle Saffold(deceased)(Spouse:Algernon McCoy Sr.)

J.C.’s grandchildren from his first union are Jeffery Saffold, Jr., Johnathan Saffold, Jr., Joshua Saffold, Dionnedria Robertson, Jahzara Saffold, Janae Saffold, Timothy Saffold, Algernon McCoy,Jr, Phebe McCoy and Queen McCoy. There are eight great-grandchildren.

J.C.’s siblings are James Louis Saffold, Sr.(Mary Saffold), Frances Saffold-Williams(Andrew Williams), Teresa Saffold-Melton(John David Melton), Joy Saffold, Sr.:deceased(Juanita Saffold), Jimmy Saffold, Sr. and Rev. Terry Saffold, Sr.(Linda Saffold)

J.C.’s in-laws are: Ruth A. Foster, Glenda Foster, Kim Foster, Tonya Cobb, and Edward Foster and Special Friends, the Entire CB Radio Family.

He has a host of loving nieces and nephews including the greats who loved and cherished him dearly.
