Between the local office of the Florida Department of Health and Lakeland Regional Health, there are about 20 people in Polk County who trace and contact people who had spent time near individuals diagnosed with COVID-19. That’s roughly 2.75 tracers per 100,000 population, better than the Florida average of 2.3 but well below the 30 recommended by the National Association of County and City Health Officials, The Ledger reports.
