Helen Louise Vonador, 67

On May 12, 2021, Helen Louise Vonador heard God calling her home and she answered.

Helen was born to Luther and Mildred Vonador on November 15, 1953 at Lakeland General Hospital in Lakeland, Florida. She was the second child of five children. She worked for Mrs. Lena Pickett at Pickett’s Kiddieland on 10th Street, and her students knew her as Mrs. White. Her hobbies were tending to her yard and flowers. She had a green thumb, and she loved to light up 10th Street in December for Christmas for the children, neighbors, friends, and whomever passed by her home. She also had love for her Rottweiler (Boss).

She was preceded in death by her parents Luther and Mildred Vonador, grandparents Charlie and Gladys Whitaker, and Louise Robinson, sister-in-law Barbara Vonador, cousin Elaine Whitehead and othercousins and family members.

Left to cherish her memories are her four children: Shikena Hughes (Jerome) of Lakeland, FL, Willie Hughes (Allison), Lakeland, FL, Mildred White (Manson), Winter Haven, FL and Grant White Jr. (Shalonda), Lakeland, FL; Nine grandchildren: Keshaun Hughes (Diamond), Georgia, Bay Shaun Andrews (Charlene), Shambria Mothersill, Shaquille Mothersill, Grant White 111, Natasha Hughes, Ian Hughes, Trevond Watts, and Tybirous McClinton all of Lakeland, FL; four brothers: Charles Vonador, Luther Vonador Jr., Mark Vonador (Sadie) and Jerome Vonador (Vivian) all of Lakeland, FL; her Ex-husband and friend of the family Grant White Sr. Winter Haven, FL; fifteen great grandchildren, and host of loving cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, coworkers and the Class of 71 at Rochelle.
