George L. Harris, 93

George L. Harris, 93 of Lakeland passed away on Wednesday, March 3, 2021. George was born in Lakeland on June 29, 1927 to Julian and Edna Harris.

George graduated from Lakeland Senior High School and served in the US Army. He was a member of the American Legion Post #4 Color Guard and was a member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church. He loved fishing and spending time on the Weeki Wachee River.

George was predeceased by his parents, His wife of 55 Years, Lois Spivey, and a Daughter Landis Walker. He is survived by Daughter Sandra Turner (Bob) and Son-in-law Roger Walker; Brothers Wade and Raymond Harris; Sisters Betty Rae Mitchell and Chiquita Meeks, 6 Grandchildren, 19 Great Grandchildren and 16 Great Great Grandchildren.

A graveside funeral service for Mr. Harris will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. in the Mt. Tabor Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Homes.
