Eliane Maxi, age 73, passed away peacefully July 28, 2020. She was born on March 17, 1947 in Saint Louis Du Nord, Haiti, to Dormarge Valnor and Idora Jean.

She spent over 20 years in Miami area and her later years in Lakeland Florida. Eliane was a cheerful lady who loved taking care of her children and kind hearted to those she met. She was a talented seamstress who taught others and know by many because of her skills. As the eldest child, she was always fond of her siblings and was always there to help them when they needed. She enjoyed many things but cooking was her therapy. Her favorite dishes were red snapper and plantains, spinach, mash potatoes and fried chicken. She enjoyed a good cup of coffee every morning.

Her children will remember her waking them up every Saturday morning to clean up the house, brewing coffee and watching Haitian comedian Jesifra. She was a tough, loving and supportive mom who would go above and beyond to take care, protect and defend her children and family.

She got baptized and became a christain in the Church of Christ.

The Bible verse that she would quote all the time was Psalm 91:7, “ A thousand may fall at your right side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. ( “ Mil (1.000) moun te mèt tonbe sou bò gòch ou, dimil (10.000) sou bò dwat ou, anyen p’ap rive ou”.)

Eliane is survived by her mother Edora Jean, (3)sisters, Essenciel Valnor, Clerdora Valnor and Belene Valnor, (2) brothers, Lesmarge Valnor and Jean Claude Valnor. She is survived by her children (4) sons, Itales Maxi, Willis Maxi,, Moliere Valnor and Elloirce Valnor and (1) daughter Modline Valnor. She is also survived by her (8) grandchildrens, many nieces nephews and cousins. All those she loved will truly miss her deeply.
