Edward Tod White, loving husband, and father died unexpectedly on August 1, 2021.
Tod was born in Lakeland on May 30, 1959, to Edward Perry White and Betty Jean (Bryan) White. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Karen Skinner White, their daughter Marissa White Silk and her husband Brandon, their son Dillon White, his sister Pam Esteves and her husband Ted, his sister Beth Calhoun, his brother-in-law Roy Skinner and wife Jeanna, his brother-in-law James Skinner and wife Allison, many nieces, and nephews, and their two dogs, Charlotte and Maverick.
Tod graduated from Lakeland High School in 1977, served in the Air Force, and worked for Publix for 40 years, retiring as a truck driver after 32 years of driving. He made lasting friendships and considered all those friends’ part of his family. He never met a stranger and made friends anywhere he went. He was a devoted husband, loving father, uncle, and brother. His vivacious and giving spirit will be missed by so many. Even though he was taken too soon, he lived an extraordinary life and was adored by many.
Tod was an avid fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide (Roll Tide Roll!) He enjoyed, golf, fishing, cooking, and grilling. He was an amazing musician, playing in several bands, namely Jelyfinger and SPF60. Most of all, he loved spending time with family and friends.
There will be a celebration of life at 10 a.m. on Friday August 13, 2021, at Grace City Church Lakeside (1736 New Jersey Rd Lakeland, FL 33803). Condolences may be sent to the family at Heath Funeral Chapel.
