Plant City’s Duke’s Brewhouse, which prides itself on a laid-back, country vibe, plans to expand to Lakeland, where it wants to add an outdoor patio to the building at 4960 S. Florida Ave. that housed Rib Crib, the Plant City Observer reports.
“That was a place that was open for 17 years,” owner Chuck Jamieson told the Observer. “We hope to have the same success that they did.” He said he plans to open this summer and bring live music to the outdoor patio.
The Plant City restaurant, located in Walden Woods, features wings, burgers and craft beer, including two house brews — a blonde lager and brown ale. Its Instagram page displays photos of fried menu items, featured beers, musical guests and female waitstaff in skimpy outfits.
