Donald J. Patten Jr, 67

Donald J Patten Jr. entered the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, August 13, 2021.

Don was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan Jan. 10, 1954. He came to know Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at the age of 6.

He married his sweetheart, Sandi Keen March 23, 1974. Sandi passed away Aug. 30, 2002. He is survived by his mother, Donna Patten and his sister, Lynn & David Kidder. Also four children; Patti & Kirt Stevens, Becky Bartman, Carrie & John Whitehouse and DJ and Erin Patten.

He also is survived by 11 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson to arrive shortly.
He is also survived by his wife, Nancy Martyn Patten whom he married April 17, 2004.

He was a local businessman, past owner of Patten Monument and Classic Leasing. He was also Administrative Pastor at Northland Baptist Church, Grand Rapids. For a period of years he was also Fund Developer for Beacon Hill at Eastgate. He became Vice-President of Institutional Advancement at Clarks Summit University in Clarks Summit, PA. He worked for Ace Hardware in Monticello, IN and then in Lakeland, FL. He retired in 2019.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sat., Aug. 21 at 11 a.m. at North Park Baptist Church, 3365 Coit N. E., Grand Rapids, MI 49525. Family and Friends will be received at 10 a.m. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in September for family and friends in Lakeland, Florida.
