Diane Melinda Worthen, 49

Diane Melinda Worthen was born Thursday April 13, 1972 in Lakeland, FL. to Dimey & Ollie Daniels. She accepted Christ at an early age at the New Jerusalem Baptist Church where the Rev. J. L. Downing was her Pastor. She attended & graduated from Kathleen High School. Later on in life, she was married to the late Jackie Worthen, Sr.. She majored in the health care field and professionally served as a Certified Nursing Assistant where she fulfilled her calling to care for others. She resided in Lakeland until God called His servant home on September 8, 2021.

She was preceded in death by her father, Dimey Daniel; brother, Carl Daniels, and her husband, Jackie Worthen, Sr.

She leaves to cherish her memory; two sons, Jonathan Daniels (Norfolk, VA), & Donovan Daniels (Kassandra) of Lakeland, FL.; one step-son, J.T. (Neet) of Lakeland, FL.; mother Ollie Daniels; seven Grandchildren; My’Rianan, Elijah, Donovan Jr., Na’Caria, Kendrick, Avianna, & Ethan; three siblings, Shelia Daniels, Pinky (John), Bruce Daniels; seven nieces & nephews, Cedric, Cierra, Creeanna, Alexander, Devon, Cheyanne, Joshua, & one great niece, Aubree; two aunts, Mary Smith (St. Petersburg, FL and Eva Daniels (Snead, FL); two uncles, Deacon George Waters (Marian) of Marianna, FL. & Leroy Waters (Tammy) of Lakeland, FL.; She also leaves a host of cousins, sorrowing friends and a sympathetic Church Family.

Visitation will be held at Oldham Funeral Home (1537 Kettles Avenue Lakeland, FL 33805) from 12 to 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 18th. A funeral service will be held immediately following at 1 p.m. also at the Oldham Funeral Home. Repass at Greater New Jerusalem Baptist Church immediately following the Ceremony. Masks must be worn throughout the visitation & Homegoing Celebration. The Repass at the Church is transitional due to COVID-19 precautions.
