A company that once collected data for Polk County lunch programs has sent letters to parents whose students’ name, student ID number and birthdate might have been compromised in a data breach, ABC Action News reports. Polk Public Schools says the company collected information from parents applying for free and reduced lunches until the 2017-18 school year and the letters should be taken seriously. | Polk Schools news release
