More than 5,200 county utility customers near C.R. 540A between U.S. 98 and Florida Avenue are being asked to use bottled water or boil water before using it for drinking or cooking. The precautionary boil water notice will last until water sampling analysis is completed in an estimated 48 hours.

County officials advise bring water to a rolling boil for at least one minute before using it.

As a further precaution, the water lines in this area have been flushed, county officials said.
