Christina Maria Johnson entered her heavenly home October 11, 2020 forever free from pain. She was born in the Netherlands on November 27, 1935 to the late John and Hendrika Kwak. She and her family came to New Jersey on the Queen Elizabeth in 1947. She was always proud of becoming a US citizen. She remained in Lakeland after moving to the area in her early twenties.

She was a loving Mother, Grandmother, and friend to so many. She loved to cook, crochet, knit, and watch the Bucs games. She was an avid bowler traveling to bowl many tournaments for many years, and worked as a legal secretary over half of her life.

She was preceded in death by her youngest son Johnny and her dog Daisy. She is survived by her daughter Darlena Parker (Gary), son Jobie Johnson (Marita), brothers Rudy Kwak and John Kwak, grandchildren Katie (Aaron), Mindy (Ryan), Krista (Brad), Jimmy (Nicole), and Kyle (Bailey). She also had six great grandchildren (one on the way) that brought her so much joy.

In lieu of a service, a “drop by” celebration of her life will be held at Gentry-Morrison Southside at 1727 Bartow Rd. Lakeland on Sunday, October 18th between 1:00-3:00 P.M. Masks will be required.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Good Shepherd Hospice in Lakeland would be appreciated. Provided by: Michelle Gomez, Market Fundraising Support Associate Chapters Health Foundation, In Support of Good Shepherd Hospice Ph: 863.583.3129

Condolences may be sent to the family at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Homes.
