Cecilia Laurene Knight, 87, of Lakeland, Florida passed away on August 5, 2021.

She was the daughter of Cecil B. and Maude Stansell of Gadsden, Alabama. She was the devoted and loving wife of Clarence “Jack” Knight who predeceased her on August 29, 2000. He was the love of her life and those lovebirds uniquely shared the same birthday. They lived and traveled all over the world and had so many stories to share.

She was the best southern cook around and had a library of southern lady phrases we all loved. She loved the Lord and enjoyed teaching Bible classes and organizing charitable functions when she was able. She loved to decorate and being with her family on the holidays.

The other great loves and blessings of her life were her daughter, Susan and husband Kurt Lockwood, her grandchildren, Spencer Peck, Claressa Peck, Brent Lockwood, Justin Lockwood, Tiffany Lozano and husband Rafael Lozano and great grandson, Ethan Lozano. Her days and weeks were not complete if she did not talk, see or ask about all of them. She was very proud of her grandchildren and their accomplishments.

She is survived by 2 daughters, 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She leaves behind many dear friends that she called her sisters, you all know who you are. The love and support that you all gave her will always be remembered.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, August 10th at 11 a.m. at Gentry Morrison Southside Chapel, 1727 Bartow Road, Lakeland. Private interment will be at Florida National Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Homes.
