Mr. Joseph Allen, Sr. of Bealsville, Florida, affectionately known as Joe, was born on October 13, 1945 in Tampa, Florida. He was a member of Mt. Moriah Primitive Baptist Church. He attended Hillsborough County Schools where he graduated from Middleton High School. Upon graduation, Joseph enlisted in the United States Army where he was honorably discharged. Shortly after, he found his passion and made his career choice as a Bus Operator for Hart (Hillsborough Area Regional Transit Authority) until his retirement.

Larry Peterson, born in Miami, Florida on January 10, 1940 entered eternal rest on Sunday, August 2, 2020 in Lakeland, Florida.

James Lowell Turlington, 74, born September 11, 1945 to James Chandler (J.C.) and Louise Lawson Turlington, went home to be with his precious Lord and Savior on August 3, 2020. He was a native of Auburndale, Florida and a Navy Veteran, serving aboard the U.S.S. Carronade in Vietnam.

Dr. Thomas Christopher McLaughlin, 84, of Lakeland, died peacefully on Aug. 1, 2020. He was the son of the late George Edward McLaughlin and Rosemary Deibel McLaughlin. He is survived by his three children, Catherine McLaughlin of Kennesaw, Ga., Elizabeth McLaughlin Hope (Keith) of Norfolk, Va., and Thomas Christopher McLaughlin, Jr. (Brandi) of Lakeland; grandchildren Christopher and Matthew Castaldo, Eric, Peyton, Ross, Richard, and Charles Hope, and Trip, Katie, and Frankie McLaughlin. He is also survived by his sister Betty McLaughlin (Richard) of Youngstown, Ohio. He was predeceased by his wife, Anne D. McLaughlin and sister Rosemary McLaughlin Rochford. More

J.C. Saffold, Jr. was born on October 27, 1948 to the late Rev. J.C. Saffold, Sr and Sallie B. Gordon-Saffold. He was born in Gordon, Alabama. During his youth, he was a member of Mt. Nebo Baptist Church in Gordon, AL where his parents served as faithful members until death.

Ms. Janet M. Herdman, age 86, passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 3, 2020.

James Murray, 78, of Lakeland, FL, formerly of Falconer NY, passed away Thursday July 30, 2020 at Good Shepherd Hospice House in Lakeland.
