Carolyn Sylvia Rea Elkins died on March 3, 2021 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. She was 88.

Born and raised Lakeland FL., she enjoyed many years of traveling and lived around the world with her husband Eugene F. Elkins, who was a proud member of the United States Air Force, before returning to her beloved Lakeland FL.

Carolyn retired from Lakeland Regional Medical Center as medical transcriptionist. Mrs. Elkins was a Methodist attending First United Methodist Church for many years. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Eugene F. Elkins, and her Brother Leon Dudley Rea. Mrs. Elkins is survived by her children, Daughter Kathleen Moore; Sons, Eric (Linda)Elkins, Brian (Paula)Elkins, Kevin(Beverly) Elkins; Grandchildren, Kelly Mouser, Mark Elkins, Sarah Lewis, Zach Elkins, Kacie Laube, Kirstie Ball, Blake Elkins, Hunter Elkins, Cade Elkins, Hannah Elkins and many Great Grandchildren

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday March 10, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at First United Methodist Church Lakeland, FL, and officiated by Rev. David McEntire. Condolences may be sent to the family at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Homes.
