
Bruce Edward Dunhoft, 68 of Lakeland, Florida passed away June 10,2021. He was born in Ludlow, Kentucky, the son of Harry and Hazel Dunhoft.
Before moving to Florida in 2003 Bruce spent his early years in Ludlow, Kentucky where he played football and basketball at Ludlow High. Upon graduation he worked as a salesman in the car industry. He was most proud of owning his own business both in Cincinnati and Florida.
Bruce loved most of all to be around people and where ever he went he never met a stranger. He kept the action lively where ever he was. Besides being an excellent card player he loved playing golf and being with family and friends. Bruce and Barbara shared many great vacations and created wonderful memories during their 28 years of marriage. He also loved watching all sports, especially the Rays, Bengals and Reds and was quite proud of making the news when he rode the “Bengal” tiger during the “Freezer Bowl” in 1982.
Bruce is survived by his wife Barbara, daughter Ashley, 6 grandchildren and siblings Nancy(Jim), Jimmy Dunhoft (Kathy), Kathie Rinehart (Jim) and Sherry Blackburn(Dallas) along with many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by son Wesley Dunhoft, brother Roger Dunhoft and his parents.
A Celebration of Life is schedule for Wednesday, July 7,2021 from 3 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent to the family at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Homes.
