Bobby Lee Collier, 78 of Lakeland, passed away on Thursday, March 25, 2021. Bobby was born in Harriman, TN to Jewell and Chloris Collier on September 27, 1942.

After graduating from Lakeland High School, Bobby served in the United States Air Force and was deployed overseas in Germany. He went on to graduate from the University of South Florida in 1973. Bobby enjoyed a long career in computer programming and data processing with Martin Marietta/Lockheed Martin, from which he retired.

Bobby enjoyed fishing, playing and watching sports, and most importantly spending time with his family. He played baseball in both high school and the Air Force. Bobby’s favorite thing to do was to watch his grandchildren in their sporting events, activities, and hobbies they enjoyed together.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Marlene Collier; his children Brent Collier (wife Sonya) and Allyson Ellis (husband Blair); his grandchildren Ryan Collier (wife Shannon), Morgan Collier, Brandon Collier, Ethan Collier, and Peighton Ellis; his siblings Larry Collier, Janice Gregg (husband Jerry) and Mike Collier (wife Meg).
