Billy Ray Cheshire, 82 of Lakeland was welcomed home by his loving Savior on January 4, 2021.

“All my days were written in your book and ordained for me before one of them came to be.” – Psalms 139: 16b

Bill was born on November 1, 1938, in Geneva County, Alabama to Earl and Mae Cheshire. As a small child they moved to Florida, where he has been a lifetime resident of Polk County. Bill was a loving husband of 64 years to his childhood sweetheart Freda Cheshire and father to their three children. Bill was ordained into the gospel ministry and he faithfully served the Lord in several churches and was currently serving at Turning Point Worship Center. He was also known for the many years he worked in the citrus industry in Polk County.

Bill is survived by his wife Freda Cheshire, daughters, Elizabeth (Nathan) Watkins Belize, CA/ Mulberry, Marilyn (Karl) Olson Lakeland, and his son Ronnie Cheshire Fort Meade, his sister Sue (Jimmy) Wolford of Virginia. Six grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild.

“Since his days are determined and the number of his months is with You, and since You have set limits that he cannot exceed” – Job 14:5

Bill was preceded in death by his parents Earl Cheshire, Lila Mae Cheshire, his brothers Charles Cheshire, Mickey Cheshire, Wayne Cheshire, and Freddie Cheshire and his grandson Brandon Cheshire.

Our family will welcome you to attend funeral services at Oak Hill Cemetery – Lakeland at 11:00 A.M. Thursday January 7, 2021.
