Bernice Lucretia Doyle, 91

Bernice Lucretia Doyle, age 91, passed away on August 4, 2021 at home with her daughter at her side.

Bernice was born in Lake Como, Pennsylvania, to Leonard and Mabel (Owens) Hempstead. She had four brothers, Willard, Gerow, Earl and Everett who all predeceased her. In 1947 Bernice married her soulmate, Emory Doyle. They celebrate 70 years together before his death in 2018.

She loved gardening, baking, flowers, birds and golfing as well as spending time with family. She was a member of Orson Methodist Church and First United Methodist Church of Lakeland upon moving to Florida.

Bernice is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Odro (Marvin), grandchildren, David Ittleman (deceased), Daniel Ittleman, Michael Ittleman (Francesca), Beth Brimer (Chris), and six great grandchildren.

Visitation will be at Gentry Morrison Funeral Home Southside Chapel from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday August 7, 2021. Burial will be in Pleasant Mt. Pennsylvania. Condolences may be sent to the family at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Homes.
