Anthony John Postiglione Jr. passed away June 10, 2021 at the age of 71

Born and raised in Corona, NY, Tony had many happy memories growing up in a neighborhood filled with close family and friends, and spending time at his aunt and uncle’s deli. His first marriage gifted him with his son, Anthony the third. Tony moved to Florida in 1987. In 1992, he and Kay King-Postiglione found each other, and have spent the last 28 years living an amazing life of travel and service. After various career moves, he spent almost 20 years working for the City of Lakeland. The first 9 years at the Lakeland Center, and the last 11 as a supervisor for Facilities and Maintenance.

Tony was very proud of his many years clean with Narcotics Anonymous, where he helped and supported countless others with their clean time. One of his favorite places to serve was the Mary Lyons Center. Tony was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2008 and never let it slow down his travel, service, or his love for friends and family. In his later years, his pride and joy are his grandchildren, Anthony the 4th and Alaina. Tony is survived by Kay, son and daughter-in-law Tony and Danielle, his two grandchildren, and daughter Tracy King.

There will be a memorial held on June 13th from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Gentry-Morrison Funeral Homes – Southside Chapel (1727 Bartow Road Lakeland, FL 33801). Condolences may be sent to the family at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Homes.
