Annie “Sue” Dickerson was called home to be with her Savior on Sunday August 22nd, 2021. She passed away peacefully at home. 
Sue was born in Forrest City, NC on June 27th, 1932, and eventually resided in Lakeland, Florida where she was a member of Shepherd Road Baptist Church and was a faithful Christian. 

She worked in the clerical department at Statewide Roofing for 30 years. She loved quilting with her friends and created many beautiful quilts for her family and was a member of the Needle Benders Quilt Club. Sue displayed her beautiful quilts with her friends at the Sun n Fun Fly In Expo who recognized her for her volunteer work for over 20 years. 

Sue was preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years James Edward Dickerson, her son David Lee James, granddaughter Jennifer Lee James, son-in-law Billy Parish, and her sister Lovenia “Pete” Wiles. 

Sue was survived by 6 of her 7 children, Luther Vernon James (Tracy), Dell James (Tracy), Susan Dickerson Parrish, James Dickerson (Susie), Allen Dickerson, Ann Dickerson McClain,15 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. 

Sue had many friends and was known as “mom” to many. Her favorite things in life were animals, butterflies, and she adored little children. 

Services will be held at Shepherd Road Baptist Church, 3820 Shepherd Road Mulberry 33860. Pastor Les Lippincott will be officiating. Visitation is on Thursday, August 26th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Friday August 27th with graveside service following directly after at Oak Hill Burial Park. Reception following graveside service at Shepherd Road Baptist Church. Condolences may be sent to the family at Gentry Morrison Funeral Homes
